Objectives of Tasmanian Women Lawyers

To encourage and provide for the entry of women into the legal profession and their advancement within the profession;

to work for law reform;

to participate as a body in matters of interest to the legal profession;

to promote representation by women on all professional bodies;

to conduct and encourage research into women's position within the legal profession; and

to provide a common meeting ground for women lawyers.

TWL also adopts the objectives of Australian Women Lawyers and is a constituent body of that organisation, with representation on the board.
